Hi Everyone,

Thank you for coming back to my little blog where I like to share all my beauty and fashion tips and reviews and generally anything that I love and think you would too :)

Now, most MUAs will know what this is and most likely have one of these in their kits already and would agree with me in saying that this brush is possibly one of the best tools to perfect the lashes and really get right into the root of the lash...

I introduce to you, the Mascara Fan Brush!

The M.A.C Mascara Fan Brush is a small, serrated, fan-shaped brush of synthetic fibres specially designed for precision application from root to tip and fortunately, getting your hands on one the Mascara Fan Brush, has never been easier, with top beauty companies like M.A.C. and Sephora even offering their version this spring. There is even a tonne of people on eBay selling similar non branded versions at even cheaper prices (gotta love eBay at times).

M.A.C. Mascara Fan Brush #205 $35 AUD

This M.A.C Mascara Fan Brush can deposit a superfine dose of colour onto each little hair giving your lashes that more full, volumised false lash look with minimal effort.

How to use:
  1. Start by sweeping the wand of a blacker-than-black mascara, like M.A.C. Cosmetics False Lashes Extreme Black mascara against the tip of your fan brush until it picks up the right amount of pigment.
  2. Place the edge of the fan brush at the base of your upper lashes, and begin gently sweeping it from root to tip, concentrating more colour at the lashlines to create a subtle definition.
  3. Work in small strokes, applying less pressure as you move the brush toward the ends of the lashes to create a soft natural appearance at the tips.
  4. Repeat the technique along the lower lashes.
Bonus: Like all makeup brushes, you’re not only limited to one use. The Mascara Fan Brush is great for covering eyelash glue when wearing false lashes or for post-mascara you can use it to groom clumps and perfect the lashes after a heavy application of mascara.

Have you tried the Mascara Fan Brush?
Do you have any other uses, or have used any other brands?

Lots of Love,
