I baked a whole batch of these really simple to make tasty granola bars this week to snack on and as promised here is the recipe.

Ingredients: (Makes approx 20 bars)

  • 3/4 cup of honey 
  • 3 tbsp melted coconut oil (I keep mine in the fridge, so I put in a clean hot pan to melt instantly)
  • 4 cups oats
  • 1/2 cup wholemeal flour
  • 1/2 tsp sea salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Method:


  1. Mix the coconut oil and honey together
  2. Add the salt, flour and vanilla extract to the honey and oil
  3. Add any dried fruit or crushed nuts (optional) 
  4. Add the oats, one cup at a time stirring the mixture
  5. Bake at 180 degrees celsius for approx 25 minutes
